Venezia 2–4 Fiorentina
Fiorentina finally opened their Serie A account in style, overcoming Venezia 4–2 at the Pier Luigi Penzo. The headline belonged to Franco Mastantuono , who scored three times in a breathtaking individual performance.
Venezia struck first through Adams, but Fiorentina responded almost immediately. Mastantuono scored twice within two minutes to turn the match around before Pellegrino extended the visitors' advantage after half-time.
Mastantuono completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute, while Hainaut's late goal proved only a consolation.
The victory was Fiorentina's first league win of the campaign. Mastantuono's hat-trick was also a landmark achievement, making him one of the youngest Fiorentina players to score three in a Serie A match.
Genoa 1–1 Frosinone
Genoa and newly promoted Frosinone shared the points after a competitive 1–1 draw at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Frosinone took the lead inside the opening quarter-hour when Kvernadze finished from inside the penalty area. Genoa had a chance to equalise before half-time but Lorenzo Colombo missed a penalty.
The hosts eventually levelled five minutes after the restart, with Johan Vásquez converting from close range following a corner.
Frosinone created more possession and attacking volume, but Genoa's second-half response ensured the points were shared.
Lazio 2–2 AC Milan
AC Milan staged one of the weekend's most dramatic comebacks, recovering from two goals down to draw 2–2 with Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.
Lazio looked firmly in control during the first half. Cancellieri opened the scoring after 10 minutes before Noslin doubled the advantage shortly before half-time.
Milan coach Ruben Amorim's substitutions transformed the match. Diego Moreira came off the bench and scored twice in only two minutes to bring Milan level.
Lazio's perfect start therefore ended with a draw, while Milan extended their unbeaten run. The statistics showed Milan's territorial dominance, with the Rossoneri holding 66% possession and attempting twice as many shots as the hosts. F Football Italia +1

The match exploded into life immediately. Coulibaly put Lecce ahead after only three minutes, Tiago Gabriel made it 2–0 seven minutes later, and Monza responded through Ricardo Mangas.
Coulibaly then restored Lecce's two-goal advantage just one minute after Mangas' goal. Zeballos pulled one back in the 89th minute, but Lecce held on for the win.

Napoli 1–0 Bologna
Napoli ended a difficult run of results with a narrow 1–0 victory over Bologna at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Napoli dominated territory and eventually found the breakthrough in the 66th minute. Midfielder Stanislav Lobotka arrived in the attacking area and produced the decisive finish.
Bologna had an early goal ruled out for offside and struggled to create enough clear opportunities after going behind.

Sassuolo 3–2 Juventus
Sassuolo produced the weekend's most dramatic result by defeating Juventus 3–2 in a chaotic finale at the Mapei Stadium.
The match appeared to be heading toward a draw after Juventus fought back twice in the final stages. Esposito opened the scoring in the 65th minute before Zhegrova equalised after a defensive error.
Bowie restored Sassuolo's lead in the 89th minute. Zhegrova then appeared to rescue Juventus with another stoppage-time equaliser, but Sassuolo responded again when former Juventus player Vasilije Adžić scored the decisive winner.
The defeat was Juventus' first of the Serie A season and left the Turin club on seven points after four matches. Sassuolo, meanwhile, claimed a memorable home victory. R Reuters +1

- Napoli finally stop the slide. Lobotka's goal ended a run of three consecutive Serie A defeats.

What the Weekend Means for Serie A
The weekend results have further complicated the early Serie A picture. Lazio dropped points for the first time after beginning the campaign with three consecutive wins, while Cagliari moved to nine points after their victory at Atalanta.
Milan's comeback moved the Rossoneri to eight points, while Juventus' first defeat left them on seven. Napoli's win lifted them to six points and stopped a worrying run of three consecutive league losses.
Fiorentina's four-goal victory was particularly significant after a difficult start. The emergence of Mastantuono gives the club another major attacking storyline to follow as the season develops.
The table remains provisional for the complete Matchday 4 picture because three fixtures are still scheduled for Monday: Como vs Parma, Torino vs Roma and Inter vs Udinese.
Serie A Weekend Roundup: The Verdict
Serie A's September 11–13 weekend delivered almost everything a football fan could want: goals, comebacks, individual brilliance and a dramatic late winner.
Fiorentina's 4–2 victory at Venezia provided the clearest individual performance, with Mastantuono's hat-trick turning the match into a personal showcase.
Milan's 2–2 comeback at Lazio was the most striking tactical turnaround. The Rossoneri appeared second best for much of the opening 45 minutes, only for Moreira to transform the match after coming off the bench.
But the weekend's most dramatic finish belonged to Sassuolo. Juventus looked capable of escaping with a point after recovering from 2–1 down, only for Adžić to score the decisive goal moments after Zhegrova's second equaliser.
Napoli's 1–0 victory over Bologna was less spectacular but arguably just as important for the club's season. After three consecutive league defeats, Lobotka's goal provided Allegri's side with a much-needed clean-sheet victory.
With three Matchday 4 fixtures still to come on Monday, the Serie A hierarchy is not yet settled. What is already clear, however, is that the 2026/27 campaign is producing an unusually open and entertaining contest at the top and middle of the table.
